Since I arrived in Europe, I’ve mostly been around Spain and Italy. Last summer, I was stuck at work a lot, so I only had one week of vacation. I decided to visit France instead of Germany, hoping that I would be having a longer vacation this summer and get see more of both countries.

Related: I’m finding movies, TV shows, and even commercials to be extremely depressing reminders of how things used to be. All happy families at barbecues, groups of friends in restaurants, people drinking socially in bars, its like enough already,  just STFU.

Yeah, I don’t go out to eat too often, but my birthday is coming up, and I always visit my mom at that time and go out to a favorite restaurant. Not happening this year. Small sacrifice compared to so many, but it still isn’t cool.

I also miss my rec sports team and never thought I’d say I miss the gym.

this isn’t far from my trip to Munich last year. One of my mates got locked up overnight for falling asleep drunk on a park bench.

The Polizei were the most attractive Police I’ve ever seen. It was like I walked into a TV show police station for young adults.

You are welcome to join us one day! gmporschenut is an American living in the US, but I’ve seen him at a oppomeet in Europe how many times? 3 ? Wales in spring 2018, ‘ring/Oktoberfest Munich/Alps in September 2018 , Mallorca (Spain) in Oct/Nov 2019. Airline tickets are the biggest financial hurdle I presume, if you're not in Europe already. They might be cheap nowadays though ;)

I’ll have a look if we can set a date and a location for 2021 soon.

The europpomeets Wales and Majorca   lodging is reasonable. What’s adds up a bit is since flying I prefer to stay somewhere a day to rest and  adjust to the time zone before driving.
